I'm New
Here are some frequently asked questions that a new visitor might have.
We hope the answers to your questions are here and that they help
to make your visit to Trinity Baptist Church a pleasant one.
We look forward to seeing you!

Will I be expected to dress up?

No. Please feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable with.  You will see people wearing everything from suits and dresses to casual attire. Our view is that God is much more concerned with your heart than your clothes.  So, please come just as you are.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

You are not expected to bring anything with you.  We do ask that you bring your Bible with you, as it is used in every service.  However, if you do not have a Bible or your forget yours, we have plenty available.  The primary version of the Bible used for teaching at Trinity Baptist Church is New International Version (NIV).

How do I get there?

We are located in Metterich, between Spangdahlem and Bitburg.  For detailed directions please visit the "Where We're Located" Page by clicking on the tab on the right side of this page.

Where should I park when I get there?

Trinity Baptist Church has two parking lots available (one in front of the building and one behind the building).  In addition we have spots marked for "visitors".  Please feel free to use these spots as a first time visitor.  They will put you closer to the front door.

What do I do when I get there?

Relax, enjoy the atmosphere, meet new people, and maybe say hello to someone you already know.  But most important, connect with God through the teaching of His Word, the Bible.  When you enter the Lobby you will be meet greeters who will  welcome you and give you any directions you need.  If you have small children, they will be happy to show you the nursery or toddler/ preschool room and introduce you to those who will be watching your children during service.

Is there a place for my children?

Yes. We have nursery for children under two.  There is also a toddler/ preschool room for children 2-4.  In either of these rooms we will give you a number for our silent paging system incase your little one might need you during service.  For children 4- 3rd grade, they will join you in the sanctuary for praise and worship.  They will then be dismissed to their different classes after praise and worship has completed.

Will I be expected to give money?

No, not at all.  An offering is taken during the service as a chance for worship through giving.  However, giving is between you and the Lord.  You will certainly feel no pressure to give.

What is the music like?

We do a "blended" service at Trinity Baptist Church.  This means that we choose songs from both Hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs.

What is the preaching like?

The Pastor preaches through the Bible chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse.

What if someone I am with has a disability?

We will do everything we can to assist you.  Our building is older and has no elevator.  However what we lack materially we make up for with love for one another and a church family that is always ready to help.  We will do whatever it takes to make sure you have everything you need to worship and learn.  Please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything you need.

How do I get connected? What if I have questions?

Please feel free to call Pastor Philip at any time.  He strives to always be approachable and available.  He would be glad to answer any questions you have.  Also if you would like to meet with him in person, please feel free to contact him.  He will arrange for you to meet him either in his office, at his home, at your home, on base, or where ever would be most convenient.  Also, feel free to join him for lunch on the day you visit.  He and his family (along with many of our church family) often go to a local restaurant for lunch.  We would love for you to join us! Please check our the "Contact us" page for all the ways to get connected.
